Missing Mrs. Arrow is the 20th episode of the F-Zero Farukon Densetsu anime.

Overview[]

During a race on White Land, the King Meteor is sent off course. Mrs. Arrow’s voice echoes as Super Arrow remains unconscious.

Jody briefs the Mobile Task Force of the next race on White Land, at the foot of the mountain. She notes that major accidents have occurred due to the avalanches, and that some areas are barricaded due to the heavy snow storms. Despite these dangers and the lawsuits involved, the F-Zero Committee has allowed it to be a venue.

On White Land, Mrs. Arrow scouts the area in her Queen Meteor. A flashback reveals that she had attempted to convince her husband to participate in the race after he had backed out, but was unsuccessful. Within the area surrounding White Land’s artificial weather machine, two Dark Soldiers in their Soldier Anchors appear, seeking out the alleged treasure on the planet. Zoda’s Death Anchor bumps into them, and he asks if they have found it yet. They inform Zoda that the weather machine has changed the landscape, making it difficult. Zoda urges them to keep searching since the race will serve as a general distraction. They spot the Queen Meteor in the distance, planning to intercept. The Queen Meteor is caught off guard by the Death Anchor, and falls into a large pit.

At the Falcon House, Clank cleans a table and Bart serves a cup of coffee to Ryu. Bart brings up the upcoming race, and Clank notes that White Land’s weather is artificial, controlled by its weather machine. Super Arrow enters, asking for the whereabouts of his wife. He laments that he hasn’t been successful in his own search, and that even heroes aren’t invincible. Ryu asks him about what happened, and Super Arrow explains that Mrs. Arrow suddenly disappeared. His owl receives a weak distress call from Mrs. Arrow, prompting a desperate Super Arrow to shake it for more responses, but it cuts out shortly after. Clank notes that the transmission sounds like it came from another planet, which makes Super Arrow deduce that his wife went to White Land. When Clank asks why Super Arrow himself didn’t go, he states that the planet is too cold. He pleads for advice about what to do, and Ryu awkwardly suggests that Super Arrow should save his wife. Clank also suggests that Super Arrow could get a feel for the venue while he’s there.

Ryu and Super Arrow head to White Land to search for Mrs. Arrow, as Super Arrow adjusts to the climate. He receives an alert on his machine, only to realize that it is Ryu checking up on him. He assures Ryu that he’s fine, and Ryu asks why Mrs. Arrow would come to the planet. Super Arrow explains that Mrs. Arrow saved him during his accident on the track sometime ago, hence her scouting the track presently. His owl receives another weak transmission, prompting Super Arrow and Ryu to move out. Mrs. Arrow attempts to keep herself warm in her machine, and begins to pass out.

Zoda and the Dark Soldiers approach the weather machine and clear up the planet’s blizzards. An avalanche occurs, alerting Zoda to the presence of the Dragon Bird and King Meteor. Dark Soldiers work the levers of the weather machine, creating more avalanches, but the machines manage to make it through. Ryu then notices a path that looks like a skiing lane, and deduces it is the only way forward. Super Arrow hesitates due to the layout, but follows. As Ryu takes a brief break, Super Arrow sends his owl out to find Mrs. Arrow. Ryu tells him that Zoda will find out where they are, but Super Arrow tells him that he would rather have his owl find Mrs. Arrow before Zoda does. Shortly after, Zoda and the Dark Soldiers appear, but Super Arrow stands his ground. However, the King Meteor is sent falling into a pit after the brief encounter, prompting Ryu to go after him. Super Arrow, upon trying to exit his machine carefully, falls into the pit, but comes across the Queen Meteor. He attempts to call for her, to no avail, so he raises the windshield. Mrs. Arrow awakens in his arms, and the couple are relieved to see each other. She brings up his fear of the cold weather, but Super Arrow realizes he has managed to overcome it, and takes his wife to safety.

The Death Anchor attempts to send the Dragon Bird off the edge, but the King Meteor arrives to help. Ryu thanks Super Arrow, overhearing Mrs. Arrow gives a compliment to her husband. Back at the weather machine, Zoda raises several levers up, attempting to cause a snow storm. The Blue Falcon arrives on the scene, with Captain Falcon tossing a pack of dynamite to Zoda and leaving, ultimately destroying the weather machine.

With the weather machine out of commission, the race begins on a bright and sunny day. Mr. Zero notes the possibility of treasure and that pilots will be talking about the current heated race for years. An avalanche occurs, but all of the machines manage to pass through. At sunset, the King Meteor crashes into the Dragon Bird, sending both of them off course. Ryu yells at him, telling him that he can’t cross a crooked road. However, Mr. Zero announces that Mrs. Arrow is the winner of the race, much to Super Arrow’s joy.
