Team Lightning Bolt

Team Lightning Bolt is a famous and veteran F-Zero racing team that is known for being part of "F-Zero's old guard."

The team also designed Jack Levin's Astro Robin for the F-Zero X Grand Prix. Keeping in mind the lightning-like driving style of the pilot, the team ensured it would be displayed in the Astro Robin's abilities. The machine also has extra cameras installed in the cockpit at various angles, to appeal to Jack's fanbase. Although, the amount of cameras is more than the ones found in other pilots' machines.

Trivia

• Given that Team Lightning Bolt is stated to be "part of F-Zero's old guard" and a veteran team, it may be possible that they were part of the huge accident three years before F-Zero X.
  • Another possibility is that they also raced alongside Team Shooting Star, another F-Zero racing team prior to F-Zero X.
  • However, neither of the Teams' members are known.
• The engine type used by Team Lightning Bolt, Team Shooting Star, and Phoenix for the machines they designed seems to be the same if not similar. The Astro Robin, Mighty Typhoon, Mighty Hurricane, and Rolling Turtle's engines all begin with "SS‐" followed by a string of numbers or letters.
  • In the Rolling Turtle's case, this could be because junk engines were used, seeing as Team Shooting Star is defunct.
